The
Castle is at the entrance of the town. It is located on rocky hill
133 m high. It is the biggest and most famous in Albania.
The
'Rozafa' castle has a fascinating history, that relates to one of
the most beautiful of Albanian Legends.

Shkodra Lake
Shkodra
Lake (Liqeni i Shkodrės in Albanian is a lake on the border of
Serbia and Montenegro with Albania, the largest lake in the Balkan
Peninsula. It is named after the city Shkodra (Skadar, Scutari) in
northern Albania.
Its
surface, 6 m above sea level, can vary between 370 and 530 square
kilometers, of which 2/3 in Montenegro. The lake is a
cryptodepression, filled by the river Moraca and drained into the
Adriatic by the 32 kilometer-long river Bojana/Buna, which forms the
international border on the lowere half of its length.
It is
one of the largest bird reserves in Europe, having 270 bird species,
among which are some of the last pelicans in Europe, and thus
popular with birders.

The Lead Mosque
The
Lead Mosque is cultural monument with a particular architectonic and
cultural value. It was built in 1773 bye Mehmet Pashe Bushati.

Mes Bridge
Mesi
Bridge was build over Kiri River by Mehmet Pashe Bushati in 1768. It
is 8 km away from Shkodra. It is 112 m long, 3,40 m wide, with 13
asymmetrical arches.
